Fountain Inn Chamber Welcomes Two Exceptional Student Leaders to Summer Communications Team

The Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the addition of two outstanding young leaders to its summer team, highlighting the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to workforce development, mentorship, and creating meaningful opportunities for local students.

Isabella Castro Named Marketing & Communications Coordinator

The Chamber is excited to welcome Isabella Castro as the organization’s Marketing & Communications Coordinator for the summer.

A recent graduate of Fountain Inn High School, Isabella previously served as a LaunchGVL Intern with the Chamber, where she quickly became known for her creativity, professionalism, and strong communication skills. In her new role, she will assist with marketing initiatives, social media management, event promotion, photography, community storytelling, and member communications.

This fall, Isabella will attend the University of South Carolina, where she plans to study mass communications.

“Watching students grow through hands-on experience is one of the most rewarding parts of our work,” said Marnie Schwartz-Hanley. “Isabella has already demonstrated tremendous talent and initiative, and we are thrilled to have her continue with us this summer before she begins this exciting next chapter.”

Bratiti Chakraborty Joins Chamber as LaunchGVL Intern

The Chamber also welcomes Bratiti Chakraborty as a summer LaunchGVL Intern through the Greenville County Schools Work-Based Learning Program.

Bratiti is a rising junior at Fountain Inn High School and brings an impressive background in leadership, advocacy, and public speaking. She is a member of the National Speech and Debate Association and participated in the 2025 Global Health Leaders Conference at Johns Hopkins University.

In addition, Bratiti serves as an Ambassador for The Pad Project, a global initiative focused on menstrual product awareness and accessibility. She also presented at TEDxFiveForks Youth, the first curated youth TEDx event in Upstate South Carolina, where she delivered a compelling talk exploring the dangers of apathy and indifference.

Throughout the summer, Bratiti will support Chamber communications, marketing initiatives, tourism outreach, event promotion, and community engagement efforts while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit and Chamber operations.

“Our community has incredible young people doing remarkable things,” said Schwartz-Hanley. “Both Isabella and Bratiti represent the future of leadership in Fountain Inn. Their intelligence, creativity, and passion for making a difference are exactly the kinds of qualities that strengthen communities and shape the next generation.”

The Fountain Inn Chamber remains committed to building partnerships with local schools and workforce development programs that help students gain real-world experience while investing their talents back into the community.
