Travinia Italian Kitchen Rebrands as Hail Mary Sports Grille in Fountain Inn

New Name, New Look, New Menu—Same Commitment to Great Food and Community
Fountain Inn, SC - A familiar Fountain Inn favorite is entering a bold new era. Travinia Italian Kitchen, located on N. Weston Street, officially rebranded as Hail Mary Sports Grille on January 2, bringing a fresh concept, redesigned space, and an all-new menu to the community.
The restaurant has long operated as a dual concept, serving dinner as Travinia Italian Kitchen and breakfast and brunch as Maverick Biscuit. Under the new model, Hail Mary Sports Grille will serve lunch and dinner during the week, while Maverick Biscuit will continue its popular weekend brunch service from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with Hail Mary opening its menu at 11 a.m.
According to General Manager Morgan Young, the rebrand was driven by customer feedback and the overwhelming success of the restaurant’s football-season Game Day menu.
“We have a solid group of regulars we see multiple times a week, and they were really looking for a place to watch football on the weekends,” said Young. “Once we introduced a Game Day menu, it took off. That success, combined with the flexibility of our space, made the decision an easy one.”
Owners Sergio and Ricardo Briceno have long envisioned opening a sports bar, and the Fountain Inn location proved to be the perfect opportunity to bring that vision to life.
While the new menu represents a significant shift, guests will still find several Travinia favorites alongside classic sports grill fare. Signature items such as calamari, bruschetta, and short rib rigatoni will remain, paired with new offerings including wings, burgers, potato skins, nachos, hand-breaded catfish and chips, meatloaf, and a build-your-own hot dog option—creating a menu that offers something for everyone.
“If you don’t want to just eat wings and burgers, you won’t have to,” Young added. “We wanted to keep some diversity on the menu.”
The transformation extends beyond the kitchen. Hail Mary Sports Grille will feature updated décor, pool tables, and sports memorabilia, with a special emphasis on celebrating local pride.
“We’re working with local coaches and hope to showcase as much Fountain Inn Fury memorabilia as possible,” said Young.
Fan-favorite events will also carry over, including live music on Fridays and bingo on Thursdays, with plans to introduce trivia nights, karaoke, and additional programming in the coming year.
“We’re excited to see the crowd this new concept brings in,” Young said. “It’s a more laid-back environment, and the most exciting part is being able to welcome more people, serve great food, and continue building our presence in the community.”
