FOUNTAIN INN, SC — On the evening of April 15th, the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted its 70th Annual Banquet at the Fountain Inn Activities Center — a Signature event that has long served as a meaningful moment of reflection, celebration, and connection for our vibrant business community.

As we marked seven decades of service and progress, we gathered not only to celebrate our shared achievements, but also to honor those whose leadership, vision, and commitment continue to shape the future of Fountain Inn.

We were especially proud to present S.C. Wholesale Mattress & Furniture with the 2024 Small Business of the Year award. This recognition reflects the company’s unwavering dedication to quality, customer service, and local investment. Their presence in our business community for over 15 years, is a testament to the power of entrepreneurial spirit and the importance of hometown values.

The evening also celebrated the extraordinary service of Lynda Lamkin, named 2024 Ambassador of the Year. Lynda embodies what it means to be a Chamber ambassador — bringing energy, hospitality, and heart to everything she does. Her work behind the scenes and in front of the crowd has made a lasting impact on our membership and events, and we are honored to recognize her contributions.

In a special moment of the program, we joined with Laurens Electric Cooperative to award Community Initiative Impact Grants to two organizations whose missions are deeply rooted in service: The Fountain Inn Museum and Generations Group Home. The Museum’s work in preserving our rich local history and Generations’ unwavering commitment to young men in need continue to enhance the fabric of our community in powerful ways.

Each award presented this year represents more than achievement — it represents a promise. A promise to continue serving, to keep building, and to stay connected to the people and places that make Fountain Inn so special.

As we look ahead, the Fountain Inn Chamber remains committed to our mission of supporting business, strengthening community, and fostering meaningful connections. With 70 years behind us and a bright future ahead, we are energized for what’s next — together.
